I have had a copy of Roadcraft since I was a
student, and once attended a course run by Liverpool police for aspiring better
drivers. Only recently, however, have I got around to taking advanced driving
tests.
I found it necessary on numerous occasions to
question my observers on some of the (strange) things they were trying to tell
me.
Associates are not supposed to tell their
observers that they are talking rubbish; it goes against the natural order of
things. In the end I got frustrated enough to put pen to paper. The following
musings were published in our IAM group newsletter, with a response in each
case from the Senior Observer.
I recommend all observers to read them, and
have answers prepared for cheeky associates.
